Osteopathy First is an established group of osteopathy and sports injury clinics offering osteopathy, physiotherapy, sports therapy, sports massage, cranial osteopathy, modern medical acupuncture, biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescription to a wide range of patients within Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Our first clinic was established over ten years ago and we now employ a highly qualified and experienced team of practitioners working in Stevenage at Atlas Health Spa within the David Lloyd Club in Stevenage, and Stotfold near Hitchin at Bannatyne's Health Club - Fairfield (formerly GL14 Health Club). Our diverse patient list includes elite runners and triathletes, professional stunt performers, national level swimmers, dancers, weight lifters, tennis, rugby and football players as well as the general public. The multi-disciplinary approach employed draws upon the skill of the excellent range of practitioners.

All Osteopaths are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and have undertaken a four to five year undergraduate degree.
You don't need to be referred to us by your GP unless you wish to claim the cost of your treatment from a private health insurance scheme. We work with BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, WPA, Simply Health, Cigna, Standard Life and all other health insurers. Please contact our head office prior to your treatment so that we may assist you in the claims procedure.

London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games
We are very proud that our Clinical Director, Hannah Walder, was chosen to work as an Osteopath for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Central Medical Teams. This was the first time that osteopathy has been included in the provision of host medical services at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hannah worked within a multi-disciplinary team of sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists, radiologists, podiatrists and sports massage therapists based at both the main polyclinic in the Olympic Village and a smaller polyclinic at Weymouth for the sailing events. This was an incredible opportunity for osteopaths to work with elite athletes at the highest level of sport. It is even more exciting to be able to do this at the world’s most prestigious sporting event and to work with the UK's best sports medicine clinicians. |
