Rob Hill

Rob has 14 years experience as an Osteopath working with elite athletes, weekend warriors and members of the general public. He believes in a patient specific approach to treatment and management with a particular interest in optimising patient’s ability to perform their chosen tasks to the best of their ability using manual therapy, modern acupuncture, rehabilitation, exercise prescription as well as strength and conditioning. He specialises in lower limb biomechanics and rehabilitation as well as custom orthotic prescription. He has a keen interest in fitness and training  and has competed in a full distance Ironman and a 60 mile ultramarathon. He works closely with local orthopaedic consultants and deals with pre and post-operative referrals from them for treatment and rehabilitation.

 

Rob is a Consultant Osteopath for British Athletics two days a week and travels with the team nationally and internationally on training camps and competitions. He works as part of a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, massage therapists and sports doctors primarily at Lee Valley Athletics Centre in North London. This has followed on from four years as Clinical Lead Performance Therapist at Oaklands Wolves Athletics Club overseeing the medical team and working track side with GB's most promising elite sprint and track athletes.

 

He has gone on to achieve a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation at Herts University completing Functional Rehabilitation, Advanced Injury Prevention Management and Strength and conditioning modules and attends several conferences every year to keep informed of the latest evidence based research.

 

Rob has also lectured as a final year technique and clinic tutor at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine where he began his training back in 2001.
