Abbie Hawkins
(M.Ost, BSc)
Associate Registered Osteopath
Abbie graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a master's degree, where she honed her skills in specialist clinics treating transgender patients, addressing women's health issues, and working in NHS settings. Always eager to expand her expertise, she pursued additional courses in sports massage and medical acupuncture during her studies. Abbie's practical experience was further enriched by an internship providing trackside therapy for elite sprinters.

Her passion for osteopathy is deeply rooted in her own background as a track and field athlete, specialising in long jump and sprints. Overcoming multiple injuries through osteopathic treatment ignited her desire to help others facing similar challenges.
Abbie's approach to treatment is holistic and patient-centered, drawing from her unique perspective as both an athlete and a patient. This dual insight allows her to empathize deeply with her patients, understanding their struggles firsthand. She tailors her treatments to address not just physical symptoms, but also the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery and performance.
Empowering her patients is Abbie's primary goal. She aims to help them regain autonomy over their bodies and boost their self-confidence. By equipping her patients with essential tools and knowledge, Abbie supports them in achieving their goals, whether they're striving for peak performance or simply seeking to improve their quality of life.
Additionally, Abbie has developed a particular interest in working with hypermobile patients. Through her experience in specialist university clinics, she gained a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges faced by this often misunderstood population. She takes pride in providing targeted and effective care for individuals with hypermobility.
