Abbie Hawkins

(M.Ost, BSc)

Associate Registered Osteopath

Abbie graduated with a master's degree from the University College of Osteopathy, where she refined her skills in specialist clinics treating transgender patients, addressing women’s health issues, and gaining experience in NHS settings. Always seeking to broaden her expertise, she completed additional training in sports massage and medical acupuncture during her studies. Abbie’s practical experience was further enhanced by an internship providing trackside therapy for elite sprinters.

Her passion for osteopathy is deeply rooted in her own experience as a track and field athlete, specializing in long jump and sprints. Overcoming multiple injuries through osteopathic treatment fuelled her desire to help others facing similar challenges.

Abbie’s treatment approach is holistic and patient-centred, drawing from her unique perspective as both an athlete and a patient. This dual insight enables her to empathize with her patients, understanding their struggles first hand. She tailors her treatments to address not just physical symptoms but also the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery and performance.

Empowering her patients is Abbie’s primary goal. She strives to help them regain control of their bodies and boost their self-confidence. By equipping her patients with the knowledge and tools they need, Abbie supports them in achieving their goals—whether they’re striving for peak performance or simply looking to improve their quality of life.

Abbie has also developed a strong interest in working with hypermobile patients. Through her experience in specialist university clinics, she gained a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by this often misunderstood group. She takes great pride in providing targeted and effective care for individuals with hypermobility.
