Joseph Gaynor

(M.Ost, BSc)

Associate Registered Osteopath

Joseph Gaynor achieved a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy from the University College of Osteopathy having already studied Sport and Exercise Science in which he holds an additional degree.

Joe's journey to becoming an Osteopath began through his own sporting injuries, having a 10 year history of competing in track and field, specialising in 400 and 800 metres. Now in practice, he uses a combination of his personal experiences; his hands on approach with sports massage, medical acupuncture and exercise prescription.

His main interests are dealing with runners, and in specific tendon injuries of the lower extremity. He has dealt with runners ranging from recreational to international level, and has a wealth of experience in this area.

Joseph was part of the ‘Osteopathy in Sports Care Association’ intern programme, which saw him work alongside some of the country's top level athletes from Oakland College sprints group. Here he worked as trackside therapist, ensuring the athletes were in peak condition. He also has worked with long distance and marathon runners, and enjoyed the opportunity to represent Team Jordan as a manual therapist in the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia.

Joseph always aims to restore patient confidence, and enjoys being part of the journey back to optimal health.
